Are there any plans for a Linux version?

There are plans and some work was already started. But the porting effort is huge, so can't give any more detailed plans or ETA.

I've been hoping for a Linux release since I switched my last computer over from Windows in 2022. This software helped me so much and is the only thing I miss about Windows machines. Is there any update on porting it over since OP asked?

Just to add my two cents:

I purchased a lifetime license because I love the software. I've recently had to switch to Linux from Windows for various reasons (mostly moral ones). I get that it's a huge job, but I desperately miss HWinfo. I would be thrilled if I could use it again, nothing compares to it.

It seems that I'm not the only one to switch recently. From what I can tell, there's been an increase in migration to Linux, so it might even be getting more worthwhile to port it. I'm going to donate some more, in the hopes it might help speed up the process.

I can't wait to be able to use my favourite software again.
