HWiNFO tells me it cannot install the driver after latest beta auto-update. All recommended things do not apply (see topic). Can't get program to launch to enable debug logging. Any ideas?

I do not have MSI Afterburner installed.Do you maybe use MSI Afterburner with the HWiNFO plugin? In such case, MSI AB might prevent HWiNFO from terminating and finalizing the update.
Can you try a manual update - download v8.25 and start manually or overwrite the file.
and how do I do a manual update to the installer version of the 8.25 beta? Again, all I see is the portable version. Please try a manual update if that will work.
No one really thinks there is a trojan in it, but we're not making this up that a fully updated Windows 11 Pro installation that is in good shape (sfc /scannow, dism restore health etc show the OS is fine) is rejecting the latest beta, and now we know it's not just me.
might want to take down this beta so others like myself with fully updated Windows are not affected. This had me messing with registry and troubleshooting for an entire night to suss out. This happens from time to time with Defender. Several other software occasionally becomes flagged.
