ThinkPad fan speed info missing?

Hello!

I have noticed that the fan info for all ThinkPads appears to have gone missing in the latest versions of HWiNFO. I know this was working earlier in the 8.xx versions, but it's been missing from the last 2 or 3 releases now from the Sensors screen. I did do a little reading here and apparently there were changes made specifically relating to the fans earlier this year? Is that right?

Let me know if there is any information you need that I could provide. I have attached a .dbg file here, in zip form, as I got an error message trying to upload it (too large for the server to process).

This sensor was intentionally removed in later builds because it caused more problems than benefits.
There were several reports from systems where reading this sensor caused BSODs in various situations (e.g. when playing videos) or when running for prolonged time.
You never observed any issues?

Ahhh ok!! That explains it. The biggest problem I ever saw with it was when I was in a Microsoft Teams call. If I had just the Sensors panel open and on a call, the system would reboot unexpectedly after 5 minutes or so of the call. The only other thing I can think of is that I left it running in the background one day with no meetings and eventually the system slowed to a crawl minus the reboot of the previous issue.

Well, then it's probably best not to enable that sensor.
