Lenovo laptop shutdown

Hi, I saw another thread here where a Lenovo laptop shuts down randomly when using HWINFO, the advice there was to disable EC Support, however that did not work in my case, I have debug files with EC Support enabled and also disabled. It happened on the latest version of HWINFO and the latest beta as well. Ryzen AI 350 APU, Ideapad. Can't seem to notice a pattern but it takes a little while when just idling on desktop, otherwise without running HWINFO the laptop never seems to shutdown like that.

"Evaluate ACPI Methods"? I think that was already unchecked, unless you mean a different setting. Ah you mean disable the ACPI sensor, I see.

I disabled monitoring of the ACPI sensor, rebooted, tried running HWINFO again. After about 10 minutes the system seemed to hang, and was completely unresponsive but no shutdown.

Hmm, I can see here that the SMU in CPU became stuck and didn't respond to commands anymore.
This looks like a problem in BIOS/SMU, so try a BIOS update if that will fix it.

Thanks, so this might be a problem with the APU firmware / BIOS? Unfortunately I'm on the latest and seemingly only BIOS available at the moment from Lenovo.
