SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD Appearing Twice (One as ATA WD SES)

Hi, I hope this fits here!

I've noticed that my SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is being detected as two separate entries.
One entry appears as expected, but the second shows up as an ATA WD SES Device, which seems unusual.
  • When I eject the SSD, both entries disappear.
  • Other tools like Windows Device Manager and PowerShell commands do not show this duplicate device.
  • This happens in the latest version 8.22-5670.
  • It could be a detection issue related to how external NVMe storage is identified.
For privacy reasons, I would prefer to send the recorded debug file via direct message or email rather than uploading it publicly, if that helps with troubleshooting.

If this is intended behavior, I apologize for the unnecessary report. Otherwise, I’d be happy to provide more details and assist further.

Thanks for your time and for the great work!

Dear Martin,

I attempted to send a private message with the debug file attached in multiple formats (raw DBG file, ZIP file, and Google Drive link), but each time I encountered the following error message:

"Your content cannot be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator."

Since I’m unable to submit the file via private message, I have now attached the debug file directly to this public post for your review. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with it.

Thanks!

I compared HWInfo and Windows Device Manager to highlight discrepancies in hardware identification.
Hopefully, this finds you well and helps rule out any potential Windows misconfigurations.

Thank you. I have downloaded the DBG file and deleted it (so you don't have to worry). Will fix this issue in the next (Beta) build.
