CPU Fan not showing up on HWINFO

Just a note: Y splitters allow monitoring of only one of the fans connected to it. Maybe the fan is connected to the end that doesn't allow monitoring. If you knew this already then please ignore my comment. Regards Dalai

    TDR re-boot or hardware issue?

Do you have another monitor at hand, or someone who can lend you one for a short time? It would be the simplest component to swap out. OTOH it changes several things, especially when it doesn't have variable refresh. Speaking of which: Did you try in Nvidia Control panel to set a static refresh...

    TDR re-boot or hardware issue?

Which monitor do you have? Is the monitor new, too? Did you try different ports on the GPU, and maybe HDMI instead of DisplayPort (or vice versa)? I never had a system where I had to change the EDID, neither customer systems nor my own nor the dozens of systems at work - although I admit that...

    TDR re-boot or hardware issue?

Well, accuracy is still important on a larger scale. Remember that it's software that depends on hardware sensors. Sensors can be faulty. It's possible that the driver reads nonsense from the hardware, or the hardware sensors deliver such unrealistic/wrong readings. But it's also quite possible...

    TDR re-boot or hardware issue?

AFAIK HWiNFO just reads what the GPU and/or its driver provides. It depends on the GPU and its drivers how accurate these readings are. Regards Dalai

Getting half advertised rates on a Clover UEFI NVME installed in a PCIE 3.0 4x slot:LSTS negotiated at 5.0 GT/S, should be 8.0 GT/S. Help?

Yes, indeed. It's not wrong to buy such a drive since it can be used in other systems. And, one advantage of getting only half the speed is that the drive might not get as hot ;). You're welcome. Regards Dalai

Getting half advertised rates on a Clover UEFI NVME installed in a PCIE 3.0 4x slot:LSTS negotiated at 5.0 GT/S, should be 8.0 GT/S. Help?

According to the manual, the PCIe x4 slot is connected to the chipset (see block diagram on page 5). Intel ARK says the chipset only supports PCIe 2.0. This means that your SSD will run at PCIe 2.0 x4 bandwidth at the most, which is half of PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth (and the same bandwidth as PCIe...

Any way to keep related Sensor Tray Icons together?

Move them into position the way you want them, then exit HWiNFO at least once. Windows should take care of the rest since it saves the position of tray icons. Regards Dalai

    File viewer

Did you try Generic Log Viewer in Windows Safe Mode? It should work there. Although the monitor uses a much lower resolution there, this at least allows you to further examine the issue at hand. Regards Dalai

Maximum Link Width 1x - Does M.2 NVMe SSD still make sense?

Do you have a manual for this system? From what I can gather online the system doesn't support NVMe but only SATA for the M.2 slot/interface. Exact model on the German website: https://de.dynabook.com/discontinued-products/portege-z30-c-12z/ Very similar model in the UK...

Maximum Link Width 1x - Does M.2 NVMe SSD still make sense?

Did you already install the drive? If so, please find the drive itself in the component tree and check the link width there. The Realtek card reader has nothing to do with it. Apart from that I wouldn't worry too much about it. Even if the link width is lower, the drive will still work as far...

    Memory clock 20MHz lower

Well, 16 x 98.8 is equal to 1580. So the question is why HWiNFO read the bus clock as 98.8 instead of 100. Other than that, I don't think it's anything to worry about. Regards Dalai

Gpu readings seem a little off..

@Martin: Look at the Max values of GPU Input Power readings in the right table. (But I agree that it would've been nice if the OP had mentioned this from the start.) Regards Dalai

How can I narrow down cause of frequent computer crashes - HWinfo logs included

Before swapping parts, I suggest to try the GPU in the slot without the Riser cable. Yes, that's a bit of work and makes it necessary to remove the Motherboard from the case and so on. But PCs also run fine when just lying on a table or in a Pizza box ;). Other than that, swapping parts one by...

    Temp 2 bis Temp 5 & TSIO Asus x-570 E-Gaming

Although I'm German myself, I'm going to answer in English (since this is the default forum language). I suggest to search the forum for these sensors, maybe in conjunction with the chipset or vendor, because this question has been asked quite a lot in the past. Regards Dalai

Trying to solve an apparent GPU issue

Thanks. I mainly asked for the PSU because I wasn't sure if it's up to the task. But that looks OK so far. Since you already tried a lot of things, swapping GPUs, different GPU drivers and so on, the only test I can think of right now is to (temporarily) disable XMP in the BIOS. Unfortunately...

Trying to solve an apparent GPU issue

Can you give more information on the components of your system? What PSU do you have and how old is it? What older GPU did you use? Did you try to remove the graphics drivers (preferably with DDU in Windows Safe Mode) and reinstall them? Regards Dalai

How can I narrow down cause of frequent computer crashes - HWinfo logs included

Well, if the crashes still occur with even lower temperatures (or rather not on the higher side anymore), I doubt it's (entirely) a temperature related issue. How about GPU drivers? Have you tried completely removing them, maybe even via DDU in Safe Mode, and reinstalling them? A different...

How can I narrow down cause of frequent computer crashes - HWinfo logs included

It's difficult to tell whether or not temperatures can cause this. Is it possible? Yes, absolutely. Is it likely? Maybe, but maybe not. The PCH temperature is also a little bit high, even in the latest log; the other temps look OK. Since you're using a Riser cable for the GPU, I suggest to...
