    HWiNFOMonitor - Minor things

Thank you for sending the data. I now know what is happening.....just not sure why yet. Martin, his initial configuration for the GPU temp entry looks like this: "id":"9001000" "sensor":"GPU [#0]: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (GK104-400): nVidia Internal" "title":"GPU Temperature" After the...

    Increasing size of gadget?

I just whipped this together quickly, so it may not be perfect but should get you pretty much there. Its 50% wider and a bit taller than the existing large version. The fonts are 33% bigger. Close the gadget, download this file and then extract it to your...

    Hwinfo64 settings stored location

Make sure the gadget is closed, restore the folder, and open the gadget. Yes, it will save all 10 profiles. You just need to open the gadget, go to the settings, select the appropriate number and load it. These may be helpful: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=292598&page=3#64...

    Hwinfo64 settings stored location

The HWiNFOMonitor gadget stores its settings in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\HWiNFOMonitor". So you just need to restore that 1 folder. It is independent of HWiNFO settings, including its native gadget. Please read the instructions in the HWiNFOMonitor gadget settings dialog.

    HWiNFOMonitor - Minor things

Hi Garfield1234, Thanks for posting. However, this is expected behavior for the docked/undocked state in Vista. And it is also a direct correlation to the small/large size option in Windows 7. So I'd rather not change the default behavior. If you were running Windows 7, it would have...

    Min & Max Sensor Value

Understood, and I'll consider adding it later. The workaround listed to get around the min=0 issue in that post I linked is a bit ugly. Anyways, it does work fine. So you can do it for now. Edit the skin provided in the installer to do the following: 1 - Add the 'm' variable to the...

    Min & Max Sensor Value

I have not tried this myself, but it appears that the Rainmeter Calc can take care of this: http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=30998 Want to give it a shot Fabad and let us know how you make out?

Request to hide units, commas, extra spacing

I'm sure it will.....LOL. :shy: [hr] Just a thought.....maybe update the icon to show the value is calculated and not actually a direct sensor reading? Or if you want to keep the temp/clock/etc icon, then maybe append a ' [calculated]' suffix for display in the sensors window (not in...

Request to hide units, commas, extra spacing

I started a single threaded prime95 stress test to look at the results. Here is the HWiNFO sensors and Windows 8 task manager. You can even see it jumped from the first core to the second.....but otherwise the work is not distributed: You can see I have 12 thread/cores (1 thread at 100% =...

Request to hide units, commas, extra spacing

Hi Martin, I think they want to be able to see this issue: You have a quad core machine. A single thread is buried at 100%, and it is the only active thread. The Total CPU Usage will show 25% (100+0+0+0 / 4). I think they want to see 100% because it is the bottleneck. I'm not sure...

    Additional S.M.A.R.T Features

Thanks Martin. After a quick test: Sidebar Gadget - The 100% remaining life for the SSDs shows properly as it is a percentage reading. None of the Yes/No values show. I'm not sure it even worth updating as the sidebar is phasing out and its only a few readings that would be added...

    Additional S.M.A.R.T Features

Its 100% on the remaining life, and "No" for all 5 drive failures....so yes, looks good to me. However, I need to go back and check my apps. When we did the sidebar gadget, we decided to excluded any readings with a yes/no unit label. At the time, the chassis intrusion state was the only...

    Additional S.M.A.R.T Features

I get a remaining life percentage for my Crucial M4 SSD, and a Drive failure status for all 5 hard drives now in sensors. All drives are internal. Nice job! - Nick

Read CPU & GPU types with Rainmeter.

Correct. So he'll create 2 measures, one for the name and one for usage/temp/etc. However, I do not plan on stripping the "CPU [#0]" prefix on the sensor name. So that would have to be done afterwards if needed.

Read CPU & GPU types with Rainmeter.

All I'm saying is that the sensor names are already accessible in shared memory. You are going to make them more descriptive, but this does not change how I will access the data (shared memory format is not changing). So for right now, it just contains "CPU #0". So if I add a second parameter...
