External hot plugged disk confuses individual sensor names [solved, may be closed]

RE: External hot plugged disk confuses individual sensor names I'll work on updating the gadget and Rainmeter plugin to use the new IDs available in 4.30 when I get a chance. I have already tested it and the data looks good. But I have two other projects going right now besides this, so it...

Request: Change monitor to 2 culloms, increase size more

LOL, sorry for the confusion.....but good catch. That picture is from April 2010 using RivaTuner with several monitoring plugins. It was taken before this gadget was available for HWiNFO. I believe the disk data was coming from the PerfCount plugin. I just used the pic as an example for...

Read CPU & GPU types with Rainmeter.

Thanks for sharing. This would be a great option for skin developers (it works on my nvidas). I just showed a specific example as a find/replace feature as most users don't know regex. Sorry, I guess closing the thread prevents quoting. I closed it so the official docs are right there...

    HWiNFOMonitor

Hi, Yes, you can click the icon in the title to reset the min/max values. You can also click the words in the title to open the flyout to examine all min/max values at the same time instead of just seeing the tooltip over each entry. However, if you are not showing the title at all you...

    Gadget sensors frozen after shutdown.

Is HWiNFOMonitor.exe listed in the task manager's process list when the gadget is open? If not, can you run it from here and see if the gadget shows values now? C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\HWiNFO. The gadget is supposed to launch this by itself when it...

External hot plugged disk confuses individual sensor names [solved, may be closed]

RE: External hot plugged disk confuses individual sesor names Is it possible for you to expose HWiNFO's internally used ID in shared memory so I can use that? Or PM me with more info so we can discuss what could be used instead? We created the ID scheme because there was nothing else in...

External hot plugged disk confuses individual sensor names [solved, may be closed]

RE: External hot plugged disk confuses individual sesor names I'm still seeing a clash if IDs, just at 10 now instead of 7. So I'm not sure I have a good fix for you. I'd recommend for now just closing the gadget before you use the external drive, and reopen it after the drive is removed...

    HwInfo Web Server beta testing

Thanks for posting the download. Wow, this was a great start. There are a few issues and I see some other features it could need. But it does work well. Make sure you have HWiNFO's sensors running before starting this because it will error if it can't find the shared memory. I've been...

Read the backup/restore instructions section in the options. You can copy that folder from your configured machine, and restore it to other computers. However, this is only going to work if the hardware is similar/same. If the HWiNFO hardware IDs are different on the destination machine, you...

For example, to make a one gadget for the CPU and one for the GPU......edit the gadget settings to uncheck all sensors except the CPU sensors and click OK. Your gadget will now be shorter and only show the CPU readings. Then drag a second gadget onto the screen from the add a gadget dialog...

You can run multiple gadgets. This allows you to show 1/2 the list in one gadget, and the other 1/2 in a second one. Please see number 4 and 16 here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=292598&page=7#165 So an example running 4 gadgets might look something like this: And to make...

Did you change the options for that entry in the gadget settings too, as mentioned here? http://www.hwinfo.com/forum/Thread-HWiNFOMonitor?pid=2648#pid2648 This is what actually changes it to GB. You need to divide by 1024 to convert the value, and change the units from MB to GB. What you...

    Dashboard

Yes, very nice. Thanks for creating and sharing it !!! On the plugin name....probably just a carry over from my first RM skin back in v1.3 or something like that. If the short name works fine, great. One the device names, its a race condition that I mention in this thread. HWiNFO needs...

    Video ram issue

I got your files, thanks. Perhaps I don't understand the question properly. I thought you were mentioning an issue with the GPU RAM values being displayed in the gadget, but they were showing in HWiNFO. I see that both HWiNFO and the gadget show the same values for: 1 - GPU D3D Memory...
