[split] No values reported on Windows XP SP2 x86

RE: Rainmeter plug-in for HWiNFO I've been able to reproduce this on a system as well, with the same results as yours. All initial tests seems fine, so I need dig in a little deeper. I'll reply back here shortly with results. EDIT: I've found to root of the issue. The HWiNFOID is not...

[split] No values reported on Windows XP SP2 x86

RE: Rainmeter plug-in for HWiNFO Thanks for letting me know. I used to hex boot XP/Vista/7 both 32 and 64 bit versions......but when I last replaced my hardware I only installed dual booted Windows 7 & 8, both 64 bit. I found I was never using the other OSs, even when developing/testing...

That does not sound good. Sorry to hear it......but nothing I can do to prevent file corruption due to BSOD. I only read/write the settings on open and when configuring them so chances of a crash while the file is open should be slim. Please read the bottom of the Instructions tab in the...

[split] No values reported on Windows XP SP2 x86

RE: Rainmeter plug-in for HWiNFO Oh boy.....Windows XP still? And SP2? I'll be honest, although I do not foresee any issues with XP, I did not explicitly test this configuration. And given the shared memory viewer works fine, I'm not sure offhand where the issue lies. I will try to dig...

Here's how you can change the decimals displayed for any GB readings so they show 1 decimal place: - open "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\HWiNFOMonitor.gadget\scripts\shared.js" in a text editor. - change line 182 from: }else if(units == "fps" || units ==...

    HWiNFOMonitor

Yeah, this is a known limit, not necessarily a bug. I have limited it to 4 digits due to the limited amount of display space in the gadget. You can use the "Modify Value" section of the advanced properties for that entry to convert it to something smaller. For instance, select...

    HWiNFOMonitor

Hmmmm, indeed that would be odd. The gadget does not control its screen position, it is controlled by the Windows Sidebar host process. Please let me know if it happens again and I will look into it. Otherwise, it must have been a fluke occurrence. Thanks, - Nick

    Rainmeter plugin in development

RE: Rainmeter plugin Thanks Martin. Just for an update.....I have the plugin working. Just trying to find time to finish a basic skin to demonstrate how to use it. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to work on that. It should not be too much longer. - Nick

    HWiNFOMonitor - Minor things

Great, glad you sorted those out. For the fan names, it uses the name from HWiNFO by default. But you can override it using the advanced tab in the gadget settings. Change it to whatever you prefer.

    HWiNFOMonitor - Minor things

Hi, Can you please zip the following files and email them to me at the address listed on the about tab of the gadget settings? If you could do this while you are receiving duplicates, that would be best. all files in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\HWiNFOMonitor" and...

No, I don't need that folder. I didn't realize the other one didn't exist. Can you send me just the \Local\Temp\HWiNFOMonitor.log file for now?

    HWiNFOMonitor

Are you sure you are only sending the 1 folder and 1 file I asked for? There should not be any .exe files in there.

Nice to meet you as well ! I see I'm not the only one with the utmost confidence in Microsoft. I do like the company. They have taken the industry to unimaginable places, and I give them props for that. I just don't agree with all the decisions they have made along the way, this being one...
