HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

It's weird because I use dGPU-only mode, which disables the integrated AMD graphics. Also in my previous laptop, it has no graphics at all and uses an Intel processor. But I guess there could be multiple factors that trigger the bug, yours is one of them. I have been facing it again lately, and...

HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

I have tried turning off both during boot, but the bug still occurs every now and then. I can confirm the 2 programs don't interfere with HWiNFO. Later I had to reset Windows to fix another issue, meanwhile also did a major overhaul to my other apps' configuration. HWiNFO doesn't seem to...

HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

I'll try and let you know :D But not as with TranslucentTB, I cannot really turn ShareX off without affecting my workflow. Is turning ShareX autostart off - check if HWiNFO window position at startup - manually start ShareX later good enough?

HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

Yup, it happens randomly at boot and I configured Auto Start too. Do you have any suggestions for narrowing down the issue? I don't have any application related to screen parameters at startup (closest ones in my setup are screenshot apps -- Greenshot previously and now ShareX). I also have...

HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

Pardon me, I forgot to add some details. I use 1 monitor only. Scaling is always at 125% (previously at 150%, this issue occured in both cases). The scaling is likely the determining factor as it's always above 100% across my setups. Currently my Windows text size is 110%, but I still...

HWiNFO randomly forgets sensor window size/position

I've had this problem for a while (somewhere in 2021-2022 iirc). HWiNFO would forget my sensor window size (and position) settings at times. When it happens, the sensor window size is shrinked to the size as if there is only 1 column of sensor (but my setup is 2 columns), better illustrated in...

What font do you use for HWiNFO?

I have found Tenorite to work well at very small font sizes. Switched to Work Sans later for its open source native and better legibility with larger spacing. I personally prefer reasonably rounded fonts because I found them to be easier on my eyes.

HWinfo shows GPU Thermal Throttle when the max temp is 72 degrees

My guess is that thermal throttling is based on hot spot temp so it could momentarily spiked up to over 83°C, but when polling it dropped to 82°C. For example, if you set polling to happen each 1000ms, start temp is 80°C, 500ms later it's 83.5°C (triggered throttling here), but again 500ms later...

Cropped up time text at large font sizes

I think you can leave the limit there, then increase it on the go as the font size increases and exceeds the limit. That would preserve the UI for most users and also wouldn't break things if any used large font sizes like me.

Cropped up time text at large font sizes

I've just tried the new build. Now it works for my setup (Work Sans - Medium - 22), but if I further increase the font size, it would look cropped again on the left side (limited by the remote monitor button). It's working properly with font size 22. But look cropped on left with font size 26.

Cropped up time text at large font sizes

Thank you : D I can't wait to try it out.

Cropped up time text at large font sizes

When setting a large font size for HWInfo, the up time text next to the buttons appears cropped. It looks like there is a lower boundary set for the text there. I'm using Work Sans font of size 22 and Medium weight. Here is an image for illustration:

    HWInfo Not Starting on Startup

I'm currently on Windows 11. The way I found out this was looking at the original path without quotes and press apply/OK but Windows pops up a dialog and ask as below. Maybe in other versions Windows doesn't ask this, but instead doing things implicitly? I think adding the quotes is worth a try...

    HWInfo Not Starting on Startup

Guys I think I know the culprit. After the update 8.00-5400, HWiNFO task's action (inside Task Scheduler) point to the program without the double quotation marks ("") surrounded. Therefore, the Task Scheduler interprete its location as "C:\Program" with argument...
