Ok so it has happened a few more times since my last post, and I've realized that it sometimes happens when I enable or disable gsync for whatever reason...
Actually, I did have GPU-Z open for a bit and the Nvidia APP seems to also have it's own monitoring stuff. Could that be why? It was only frozen in HWInfo though, everything else was showing the correct gpu power.
Not sure what's causing this, but at some point during the day, the GPU Power sensor freezes and stops reporting the GPU power. Second time this has happened today. Restarting Hwinfo doesn't fix it. Only restarting or sleep + wake from sleep do. Doesn't seem to happen in other software as far as...
I forgot that I installed something called ModBro for my sensorpanel and apparently it interferes with HWinfo. I uninstalled it and haven't had this problem since.
Not sure what's causing this, but it started about a week ago. The 12V drops down to 3.328v briefly and then goes back to normal. It's always the exact same voltage as the 3.3v...not sure if that's a coincidence or not. The issue usually doesn't happen again unless I close hwinfo and reopen it...
Welp, it hasn't happened again yet...and hopefully it never does. I've been using 5165 since Saturday and nothing yet. Surely it will happen again now that I've stopped worrying about it as much...
Randomly throughout the day HWInfo will freeze and I usually can't end the process in task manager. In some cases I can, but It hangs on "Detecting ATA/SCSI Drives..." when attempting to reopen it and then my system bluescreens shortly after with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) . This started...
I've been seeing a lot of posts on reddit about using HWINFO's +12v Input Voltage reading to monitor a potential melt on RTX 4090 cards. Many people are claiming anything below 11.8v is susceptible to melting. Is this actually a valid way to track issues or is it a bunch of nonsense? My...
Think I figured out what's causing it. If I have both the "Sensor Status" and "System Summary" windows open, the grey text/blank values issue will occur. If I only have one of the windows open, it doesn't happen. Tested it for a few hours to make sure. Maybe it's a polling problem?
